Chapter 1: The Rejection

She stood in the great hall with every eye fixed on her.

The Alpha looked at her as if she were nothing. As if every promise, every whispered word, every night she had waited for him had meant nothing.

“I reject you,” he said.

The words cut deeper than any blade.

For a moment, the world became silent. She could hear only her own heartbeat, slow and broken, as the bond between them began to tear.

She did not cry.

She did not beg.

She lifted her chin and walked away from the man who thought destroying her would be easy.
